FRESH GREEN JUICE

FRESH GREEN JUICE

Encouraging your child to drink green juice will help to nourish their whole body. This green goddess includes a powerhouse of essential vitamins and minerals, providing a concentrated dose of nutrition in a convenient and easily absorbable form. Leafy greens like kale and spinach are particularly rich in vitamins and loaded with antioxidants. These help neutralise free radicals and protect the immune cells from damage. Ingredients including ginger and turmeric have anti-inflammatory properties, reducing inflammation that helps the immune system to function optimally.

Green juice isn’t just a go-to for boosting immune health—it’s also an excellent natural support for relieving constipation. Packed with hydrating vegetables, gentle fibre, and minerals like magnesium and potassium, it helps to stimulate healthy bowel function. The enzymes from raw greens can aid digestion and encourage better elimination without harsh effects. When taken regularly, green juice can help re-establish natural rhythm and balance in the gut. It’s especially helpful for children or anyone with sensitive digestion, offering a gentle yet effective alternative to conventional laxatives.

Try this green juice, a blend I’ve been using with my own children and confidently recommending in my practice for many years. The child-friendly version is sweet enough for beginners, but just as tasty is the original version.

Do allow your children to try the original recipe first, as most really seem to like it. However, for those children who a little reluctant or new to juicing a “lighter green” option is recommended. Simply swap out half of the green apples for pink, and decrease the amounts of kale and spinach from one handful – to half, enjoy!
