A simple daily ritual that can benefit the whole family, including your child, is drinking lemon, ginger, honey water. This combination is naturally detoxifying and helps support the body’s cleansing processes – namely the liver by stimulating bile flow and providing antioxidants that help reduce its overall detoxification burden. Drank first thing in the morning it helps flush out unwanted toxins. Lemon provides vitamin C and antioxidants, ginger promotes healthy digestion and circulation, and honey offers antimicrobial properties and a soothing effect. Together, they gently strengthen the immune system, help fight off seasonal bugs, and support overall wellness. It’s a nourishing way to start the day and encourage healthy habits for everyone.
Food Facts: Lemons contain micro mineral salts that break down pathogens such as unproductive bacteria, mould, yeast, and fungus to help protect your liver’s immune system.
For our older children/teenagers with skin ailments, ginger, lemon, honey water can be a fabulous addition to a daily routine to promote healing from the inside-out. Ginger has properties that help fight acne, reduce redness, and promote a healthy glow. Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which boosts collagen production, brightens the skin, and helps flush out toxins for a clearer complexion. Honey is a natural humectant and contains antibacterial properties, which can keep the skin hydrated and prevent breakouts.
Don’t have a juicer, no problem, you can blend / squeeze and/or grate your way to prepare this recipe. To save time you can bulk prepare – I personally make up 6 batches at a time, so we can enjoy it throughout the week. You can store in a tightly sealed container (I like a glass mason jar) and refrigerate what you don’t use.
