IMMUNITY SHOTS

I have been making immunity shots for my boys for many years now, and believe in combination with green juices and smoothies, they were the initial nutrition building block that helped get their health back on track. I typically make these most mornings, before the family’s main juice and breakfast. The shots contain fresh ginger and turmeric, and are incredibly tasty, invigorating, and I will admit it, a little spicy!!

Drink shots quickly in one go, or sip slowly – especially if your child has a sore throat and/or cough, to help relieve discomfort and induce an inflammatory response.

Note: if your child does find these overpowering (and kids may do in the beginning), then please don’t reduce the ginger and turmeric, instead dilute with an additional apple).

YIELDS – 3-4 SERVINGS

Ingredients
  • Apples Pink, large, 2
  • Ginger, fresh 3 inches
  • Lemon 1
  • Turmeric, fresh 2 inches

EQUIPMENT – ELECTRIC JUICER

Instructions
  1. Wash produce thoroughly.
  2. Cut up according to your juicers capacity.
  3. Juice everything!
  4. Pour juice through sieve (for a smooth texture).
  5. Drink and enjoy!
