This was one of the first salad dressings I made on my own. I was bored with salads without imagination or flavour, but this changed everything 🙂
Please don’t be afraid to experiment, making your own salad dressing allows you to customise the flavours to your family’s preferences. You can adjust the seasoning, acidity, sweetness, and thickness of the dressing to suit your taste buds (I always add more garlic if its just me I’m making for), and even your dietary needs (if you have them). Plus, what I also love, is that you can experiment with different herbs and spice combinations to create something unique.
YIELDS – 10+ SERVINGS
Ingredients
- Balsamic Vinegar 1/4 cup
- Black Pepper, a pinch
- Dijon Mustard 1 tbls
- Garlic Clove (peeled) 1
- 100% Maple Syrup 2 tbls
- Virgin Olive Oil 1/2 cup
EQUIPMENT – ELECTRIC OR HAND BLENDER
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a blender or jug (if using a hand blender).
- Blend until fully combined and sauce is smooth.
- Store in an air tight container (a glass jar is nice) and place in refrigerator for up to a week.
- Shake or stir well before each use.
