Why fresh beetroot? Beets are jam packed with antioxidants including betalains, which give them their deep red colour. These antioxidants help protect the body’s cells from oxidative stress and free radical damage, which can weaken the immune system.

Beetroot juice on its own (let alone when it’s coupled with the additional powerful produce in his recipe) provides essential minerals including iron, magnesium, and potassium, which are crucial for immune health. Iron, for instance, supports the production of red blood cells and helps carry oxygen throughout the body, while magnesium supports the function of various immune cells.

Furthermore, beets are also high in nitrates, which the body converts into nitric oxide, that helps improve blood flow and circulation, ensuring that oxygen and nutrients are efficiently delivered to immune cells, enhancing their ability to fight infections.

Ingredients
  • Fresh Beetroot, large 1
  • Pink Apple 6
  • Carrots 12
  • Ginger (fresh) 2 inch piece
  • Lemon 1.5

EQUIPMENT – ELECTRIC JUICER & STRAINER

Instructions
  1. Wash all produce thoroughly.
  2. Cut up fruits + veggies according to your juicers capacity.
  3. Juice everything.
  4. Pour juice through sieve (this gives a smoother texture).
  5. Drink and enjoy!
